REVIVE YOUR CHURCH, O GOD, IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLE . . Part Three of Three.

‘Being the church’ is far different than ‘doing church’. ‘Which should it be?’ That is the question for those who are only ‘doing church’ today. Sadly, the latter is too often a religious commitment rather than a relational commitment of knowing God and His people in a deep, loving, and life-changing way through the Holy Spirit’s power working in us!

Paul wrote in Philippians 3:10 the cry of his heart: “That I may know Him in the power of His resurrection, and in the fellowship of His suffering, being made conformable to His death.” He continued, “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me” (3:12, NKJV).

The pursuit Paul described is ‘being the church’ by virtue of ‘becoming a part of the body of Christ” as in ‘being a member in particular’ of His body. This is not an organization, it’s an organism. This is not a church building, program, ritual, form, or a tax exempt organization. ‘Being the church’ is ‘knowing intimately’ the One Who is “the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Jesus” (John 14:6, transliteration). Six verses later, Jesus said to His followers, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father” (John 14:12, NKJV).

As we move from the four gospels and into the Acts of the Apostles, we read that Jesus instructed His disciples in this manner: “John baptized with water . . . you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now” (Acts 1:5, NKJV). In verse 8, Jesus instructed them further: “. . . you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you . . . you shall be witnesses of Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (1:8, NKJV). Jesus ascended into heaven as the disciples and others watched and then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount called Olivet and entered the upper room per the instructions of Jesus. They instantly started to learn what it was to ‘be the church’.

“They continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers” (v. 14). Two verses later, Luke, generally considered to be the writer of this great book, the Book of Acts, stated there were about 120 brethren and sisters gathered in the Upper Room. The only disciple of the 12 that was not present was Judas, the betrayer of our Lord. Peter was called upon by the Holy Spirit to lead in the selection of a replacement as we read in Acts 1:16-26.

Matthias, the one chosen, was a witness to the resurrection of Jesus following His crucifixion on the cross for the sins of the world. Three days later, of course, Jesus arose from the dead and later Matthias and the other eleven witnessed the evidence of His resurrection. Ten days later, Jesus ascended.

The day of Pentecost came forty days after the ascension and fifty days after His resurrection, and “suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting . . . there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (other references indicating this phenomena was not a single experience, are found in Acts 8:14-25; 9:17-20; 10:44-48; 11:15; 19:1-7; I Cor. 14:1, 2, 4, 15, 39, 40).

In simple terms, the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the Head (Ephesians 1:20-23, the NKJV), came into ‘being’ with its’ many body parts working together, ‘being the church’ on earth. We are part of that same body of believers and the same promises given to the first-century church have been passed on to the church in all dispensations of time, including our own! God has given us everything we need. There is no lack. Buildings were not needed for purchase or construction. Organization was of a spiritual nature.

No workers in the family of God got rich by receiving offerings from members of the body. One person did not become the overseer of all, but lines of accountability were established and unity was stressed by Godly instruction and enforcement. The government endorsed by God was in place and working. The church grew exponentially without surveys, programs, extravagant events, or other worldly means or methods used by successful business entrepreneurs.

The church in China today is the most complete evidence that this plan still works. When the communist revolution took place in the late seventies, there were approximately 10 million believers in China. In 1987, there were 50 million believers growing to 100 million a few years later, and, now, there are 130 million believers in China --- all without the lights, sounds, surveys, crusades, technology, printed materials, books, special events, structures, strategies and church planting skills and energies promoted by the affluent American culture. The Christians in China are truly examples of the NT concept of ‘being the church’ rather than ‘doing church’, which, in most cases, has degenerated into a “form of godliness while denying the power of God. And from such people turn away” (II Timothy 3:5).

What does the church need to do today to be revived, set on fire, and thrust out into our pagan world? Sum it up in the words of King Solomon who spoke by revelation of the Holy Spirit after rebuilding the Tabernacle of the Lord in Israel: “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves (admit and annulated pride), pray (earnestly and fervently; not in a hurry to go somewhere or do something else), and seek the face of God (having the purpose of intentional intimacy with and receiving revelation from God), turn from their wicked (self-centered, carnal ways and means), then, I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land (while making them into a people who ‘say my words’ and ‘do my works’) (II Chron. 7:14, own transliteration based on Biblical admonitions). ‘Doing church’ is dead and boring. ‘Being the church’ is alive and exhilarating!

I am not saying that we should sell our churches, auction off the contents, give away our hymnals, or fire our contemporary worship teams, shorten or lengthen the services, or not continue to take advantage of tax-exemptions, but I am saying, we need to come to terms with what God is saying and what God wants to do through His church! Unfortunately, we are not ‘sold out’ to Jesus! We are, according to our own opinions, “rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing!” (Rev. 3:17a, NKJV).

Our carnal minds seek after the best and the biggest, the finest and the most impressive artifacts, architecture, professionalism, technology and anything else that contemporarily defines success --- but, Jesus, the Head of the Church, has news for us: “You are dead and your body is already cold. You are wretched, poor, blind, and naked. You have need of everything God gave to the church on the day of Pentecost following My death and burial for the sins of the world, and My subsequent resurrection from the dead”

(Rev. 3:17b, own transliteration)! Jesus is saying to us today, ‘I poured out the Holy Spirit’ upon the ‘true believers and gave them the ‘fire power’, the wisdom and spiritual knowledge and understanding to do My Father’s will right where they lived’, and, then, take that ‘fire power’ to all the world for My Name’s sake and the sake of all who will believe and receive!’

Church, we must come together, first of all, to pray and seek the face of God, whether we are Protestants, Catholics, Evangelicals, Pentecostals, Seventh Day Adventists, Mainliners, Independents, in the House Church movement, or whatever. If we love Jesus and are following hard after Him, we must not allow these differences to keep us from united prayer – there is so much power in united prayer! It is a good starting point, but we must worship and praise together, too, reach out from time to time to our communities – together -- without worrying about who gets credit for anything, or who might get the greatest benefits!

If we love Jesus, we are one and all of us should be one with the Father even as Jesus and the Father are One. This is the key: don’t lose it – use it – and, fuse it to start a mighty work of God in our communities around the world! Most of us have no idea as to how powerfully God would use our praying, praising, worshipping, interceding, sharing, witnessing, and serving to bring powerful results for the Kingdom of God on earth. If we truly did it in the love of the Lord, no one would worry about who is going to benefit most --- the advancement of the Kingdom of God through the salvation of souls would be our reason for rejoicing!.

Church – it is spiritual, not material, forms, methods, buildings, programs, and all the rest we have added to the quotient. The only thing that matters is what ‘God is saying and doing’ through His people. Are you seeing signs, wonders, miracles, and the ‘greater things’ Jesus promised where you live and where you, or others, are ‘doing church’? Not that ‘signs, wonders, and miracles are the only evidences of ‘being the church’, but they surely should be a vital part of daily life manifestations in the church.

Read Mark’s Gospel for a fast read of what happened wherever Jesus went. My God, I must see and experience more than I have! Come on, now, be honest. We’re not seeing it as the norm in our cities, states, regions, and nations – but, Praise God, much is happening in various places in the world, such as, China, Israel, elsewhere in the middle east, and beyond! We need to get on our knees, our faces, even, and cry out to God for His forgiveness and for a fresh anointing of ‘the fire of the Holy Spirit’ in our lives!

As I close this message today, let me emphasize again what Solomon taught Israel by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is found in II Chronicles 7:14: ”and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (NASB). Understand this verse in context with the previous verses. God was saying what was going to happen if they didn’t follow the instructions in verse 14. He said, in brief, that He would shut up the heavens so there would be no rain, command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people --- unless My people does what I tell them in verse 14.

As you read this verse of instruction to Israel, take each phrase in that verse and read it from the Amplified and other versions, too. Pray over it as the Holy Spirit leads without making any alterations on your own to soften what is being said, and see if there be any hidden or known sin in your life. Should the Holy Spirit convict you of anything, first of all, refuse condemnation, but quickly confess your guilt and the need for forgiveness, and ask for it in ‘Godly sorrow’.

Agree with God about your sin, then He will hear from heaven and ‘forgive your sin and heal your land’! (v. 14). God does not enjoy punishing His people, but He loves us so much that when we sin and set ourselves against His Word, Will and Ways, then He will bring redemptive judgment to us if we do not heed His instructions early on! Isn’t God good? He gives us opportunity to repent before He brings judgment to us for not repenting!

Yes, God is good, all the time, even should He have to bring judgment upon us to convince us of our unrighteousness! Thanks be to God Who constantly causes us, if we yield to Him, to conquer through our Lord Jesus Christ – amen and amen!

Revive Your Church, O God, in the Midst of Trouble . . .Part 2 (Three part series)

The title for this series is taken from a prayer of intercession by Habakkuk, a prophet of God to Israel. Israel was surrounded by problems and had a multitude of internal ones they were ignoring. The people of God were surrounded by nations who wanted to destroy them (v. 4). Habakkuk had to be careful, sensitive, and alert to the true situation. There were nations with wicked designs for the destruction of Israel. This is not uncommon, but, as I mentioned, Israel was not dealing with internal problems they had, such as, mistreating the weak and helpless among them, and evil men were controlling the justice system and overturning righteous decisions. Sounds like us in the USA! The prophet had been praying about these issues and addressing them for some time, but saw no results. So, in desperation of mind, heart and spirit, and entertaining serious questions about God’s apparent failure in dealing with these matters, he cried out to God: “Why do you (God) show me (Habakkuk) plundering and violence – strife, contention, the powerlessness of the law, and justice never going forth? For the wicked (in Israel and among the neighboring nations) surround the righteous (your people Israel) but our hands are tied. We’re doing nothing, and, You, O God, are doing nothing!” (transliteration, Hab. 1:2-4).

First of all, understand that the situation was a heavy burden to the prophet and comes out clearly in his desperate question to God: “O Lord, how long shall I cry, and You not hear?” (Hab. 1:2a). All of us have questioned God. That, in itself, is not a problem, if our desire is to find the answers which will bring us to God’s solutions! One thing for sure, we cannot afford to ignore these issues and not deal with them in a Godly manner.

Secondly, so many times God’s people have been corrected through the reading and study of His Word or by brothers and sisters in the Lord, or by pastors and prophetic ministries who have spoken about specific needs, and, yet, we have refused to repent, to turn from our sinful ways. In time, God allows certain circumstances to develop as a means of applying outside pressure, even pain, hurtful situations, and deprivations that eventually bring us to a new point of consideration, even correction, leading, hopefully, to complete surrender to the whole will of God. That is a good thing whether we like it or not doesn’t change the truth! What is God saying and what are we doing about it, is what really matters. God is always ready when we are ready!

In this nation today, external changes are taking place that are opposed to the will and purposes of God. Yet, in the church, we have our own problems, which, if we were truly honest, are the real reasons our own nation and world are in such a serious decline. We are not what we once were in God. The sad part of this entire scenario is that we are not truly convinced of our own need to return to His Word and to repent and be united in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ Who said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life . . . no one comes to God but through Me!” (John 14:6).

Third, when the above happens, God has people who are available to help us, to love us, encourage us, and instruct us through the ‘reviving process’. God has a solution. He wants to put into motion for the purpose of reviving us, waking us up, but He wants to be more to us than One Who revives – He wants to be our ‘consuming fire’! In Habakkuk’s case, God spoke to Him again: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he (those struggling and resisting) will be able to see it and humble themselves in the truth of His revealed word, and return to God’. “The vision”, God shared, “is yet for an appointed time . . . though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.” (Hab. 2:3). This is where the test really lies. The proud heart is hard against the truth, but, God told the prophet, “the just shall live by faith” (2:4b). ‘To live’ means, ‘to stay alive, be preserved, flourish, to enjoy life, to live in happiness, breathe, be alive, animated, recover health, live continuously, yes, eternally’ in God’s love’. God’s glory will “cover the earth as the waters cover the seas.” He is faithful. We must remain faithful and totally follow our Lord (2:4a). Church, allow God room to revive us by God’s ‘flaming fire’ of correction, conviction, and compliance to His will, resulting in Him ‘consuming us with His fire’ so that each of us may become ‘a flame of fire’, igniting in other’s the ‘fire of God’! Stop resisting repentance. It’s not a bad thing. It is not negative, but rather it is positive! It ‘sets us free’ from our carnal ways and means and makes it possible for us to come into an intimate relationship with God, and with our brothers and sisters in the Lord! Stop worrying about our image. That’s the sad part!

We have chosen, for selfish reasons, not to get along that well with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are divided over the smallest matters. God wants His people to come together (I Cor. 11). Examine ourselves. Ask the hard questions. Do I really love those who disagree with me? Am I guilty of ‘drawing lines in the sand’ and telling other Christians not to cross it? Work out our differences. Get a life. Admit it, we’ve been very childish to the point of being stupid!. Don’t continue being childish --- or, stupid. Give it up. Grow up. Come together in God and with one another. Stop competing and start complimenting each other in the body of Christ, not just with words, but actions, i. e. praying together, worshiping together, working together, reaching out together, giving together, and not caring who gets the benefit of the fruits of our joint efforts in Jesus! Meet the needs of the weak and the needy. Stop the strife and contention. Be just and merciful. God wants to do a work “which you would not believe, though it were told to you --- I will work a work in your days; trust Me, says the Lord, our God” (transliteration of Hab.1:5).

Repentance is our part. Reviving is His part. Revive us again, O Lord, our God and our Salvation! Set us on fire! Stop blaming the government, education, Hollywood, sexual perversions, the justice system, republicans, democrats, independents, progressives, drugs, alcohol, for all our woes! It’s time for us, the church, the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the Head, to take responsibility for our failure to be the people of God He intends us to be. Start emphasizing ‘being the church’ and not glorifying ‘going to church’! ‘Doing church’ and ‘going to church’ can be quite carnal! Rather, we must live the Christ-Life out every day in every way! We can start by praying together, okay?

“O Lord, my God, bring together Baptists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals, Charismatics, Methodists, Nazarenes, Lutherans, Catholics, Episcopalians, Independents, and all the rest, in the same city, and room, praying together!” Then, we can start fellowshipping while working and sharing in the blessed benefits of God’s grace and pleasure more meaningfully! I’m not talking about ‘dissolving organizations’, but rather ‘resolving our differences’ and start ‘saying what God is saying’ and ‘doing what God is doing’ in His Word! If we love Jesus and pray/praise, care/share, give/live together in spiritual truth, not allowing our differences to divide us--- then, we can move higher, dig deeper, spread wider, go further, and be happier than we ever have been before! (Our final message in this series will include six steps to ‘being revived’ and ‘filled with His fire’!)

I visited with Dr. J. Oswald Sanders in Phoenix during the late 80’s. He has since gone to be with the Lord. He was the author of 36 books at the time, and an educator and missionary. He served in China for many years and maintained contacts with believers in that nation for a long time. He told me that before the Chinese communist revolution in the mid-70’s there were one million Christians in China. They, of course, had to go underground at that time and suffered many trials, including executions for their faith!

Approximately 10 years after the communist revolution, when I spoke to Dr. Sanders, the number of Christians in China had grown to 52 million believers! All of this with only a minimal number of Bibles, no public meetings, and churches were banned. They had no Sunday Schools or other Christian education programs, only secret meetings held in homes or wherever else they might gather. If two or more people talked about God on a street corner or anywhere else, they were arrested by authorities and persecuted by the larger populace. There were no radio or television programs, no internet services available to share prayer requests or personal experiences. Magazines and all other Christian publications were unlawful. There was not much going for them that you and I take for granted in this country. In the midst of all their deprivation, their numbers continued to swell. Today, in China, we are told there are over 100 million believers, even though they live under the threat of being arrested, suffering public persecution, and in many cases, execution, for violating laws written to destroy their faith in God.

In the USA, a nation formed ‘under God’, one-third of the population claim to be Christians. Look at all the denominations, associations and movements that have founded churches, but along the way ‘lost their way’ and have not returned! They are now ‘false prophets’ teaching ‘false doctrines’ by diminishing the work and ministry of Jesus, while still ‘calling themselves’ Christians! This is clearly a miscarriage of truth! Only 56% of evangelicals, a movement that came out of dead legalism and was ‘alive unto God’, actually believe now that Jesus is the only way to God! Forty-four percent of evangelicals admit they do not put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord! Mix that in with the doubt, unbelief, and errant doctrines of many of the mainline denominations in America, and our cry must be: ‘Revive Your People, Your Church, O God, in the midst of great trouble’ (Hab. 3:2). The misguided church needs a ‘Holy Spirit, fire driven, ‘revelation revolution’ of Who Jesus is. We must know ‘what He came to do’! Saints, pray for a ‘fresh ignition of Holy Spirit fire’ to return to the professing, but non-confessing church. Thankfully, ‘God, you are that consuming fire’ (Deut. 4:24)! Come Holy Spirit, do it once again. Bring to us a fresh revelation of your Divine plan for man!

In America, we must take a chapter out of the ‘church book in China’ where believers do not capitulate with detractors and tormentors! They are clearly focused, living in danger every day, but continue to maintain established priorities of faith, believing fully in the authority of Scripture that clearly teaches: ‘Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life’, and that ‘no one -- comes to the Father, but through Jesus’ (Jn. 14:6). Revive us, O God, in the midst of our self-centeredness, which is clearly rebellion against Your holy and righteous demands. Have mercy, for our sake, and bring us back to You! -- CJ!

Judgement is comint to the pulpits of America

Hello Dear Readers,

As you know I have blowing the trumpet about the condition of the church in America and our leaders. It has not been easy to do because it goes against the "main stream" of the prophetic and church words that are coming forth.

This word of the Lord was sent to me by our Virginia Ambassador for Flame of Fire Diane Lawrence. It was sent to her and she forwarded it to me. I read it and witness that this word of warning is one we as God's leaders need to heed. I will leave it up to each of you to discern it for yourselves. But if you discern it is from God, we need to truly do what God has been telling me. Repent and turn to God with our whole hearts.

JUDGMENT IS COMING to THE PULPITS of AMERICA

Judgment Is Coming to the Pulpits of America

"The zeal for My house has consumed Me says the Spirit of God! The love for My people has overtaken Me! Therefore I will begin, I will begin, I will begin says the Spirit of God. I will begin now to cleanse My house, I will call out and I will bring judgment, I will enter in and begin in the pulpits of America! The fear of Me shall hit the five-fold ministry, it will cause many to shudder as I utter My judgments.

The five-fold ministry shall see My judgments. Those who presume to speak for Me with hidden sin, they will see judgment come to them, swiftly and suddenly! Those who think they can live in sin, be My mouthpiece and stand in My Holy place with the mask of deception on their face, they shall see My swift judgments! It shall be like an earthquake, and everything shall shake! Everything shall shake. For I will have My way!

This is a day when I will not tolerate their sin anymore! NO MORE, NO MORE says the Spirit of the Lord! For I am coming to My temple and with a great roar! I will bring fear back to My house again and I will confront and remove the sin that many in the pulpit are living in! And some shall be examples as Ananais and Saphira. All that can be shaken will be shaken.

For I will have a Holy people, a Holy nation. I will have a Glorious Church and I will remove everything and everyone standing in My way. For this is a new day! You say mercy, mercy, grace, grace and you think that will erase the hidden sin you continue to live and revel in!

I will have it no more! Your words are nothing to Me, it is your actions that I see! You have trampled on My grace and made a mockery of My mercy and you have taught My people the same and now My name is shamed! Now My people think that I am OK with sin, You have opened the door and let it into My sanctuary, into My Holy place, You have made My house one of disgrace.

You have defiled My house and defiled My people! The sin is destroying My people, destroying My Church and destroying your nation! I am done with you, and I will have it no more! No more mercy and no more grace, for you come near to Me with your words but your heart is far, far from Me.

Do you not know that I see everything? You cannot fool or deceive Me as you do My people,For I AM the God of all truth and I will deal with you! For I AM a Holy God and My sanctuary shall be holy, and I WILL HAVE A HOLY PEOPLE that they might bear My Glory! They shall be holy unto Me, therefore I must remove the unclean things!

I will raise up and I will bring down! I will remove apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher, evangelist from the pulpit, those in the five-fold ministry who are defiling My house and defiling My people. I will have it NO MORE, NO MORE, says the Spirit of the Lord.

My judgment is coming to the pulpits of America. I will judge, I will cleanse, I will purify! I have seen in secret and I will reward you openly! I will expose your sin. You have fooled My people but you have not fooled Me says the Spirit of God, for I see all things! I see what you have done behind closed doors and I say to you, I WILL HAVE IT NO MORE! For judgment has opened the door and is coming in.

These are not mere words that I speak to you, but watch Me, says the Spirit of God, I will perform My word, and you will know the fear of Me again. For I am the Lord of Glory and this is not as before, this is not as before, this is not as before!!! I am coming to deal with the sin in the pulpits of America, I am coming in to deal with you! I will have it no more, no more says the Spirit of the Lord!

For I am warning you says the Spirit of God, do not step up to the pulpit with hidden sin in your life, for you may not live to see another day for I will have My Church, My way, says the Spirit of Grace. This is not a game, this is not a game! All the earth shall know My name! I am not playing games!"

Mighty Man of Valor!

Please read Judges 6 from verse 11,

When I talk about having the kingdom mentality, I mean having and walking in the mind of God about you. Being what God say you are not what people, situations or status says you are. You are what God says you are.

Look at Gideon; he was a young man who lived at a time when the Israelites were under the oppression of the Medianites for seven years. He was a young man who came from the poorest family, yet there was one thing God liked about him. He had the heart to serve and save his family. That is why we see him under the tree preparing wheat for his family. We are called to serve despite the situations that are surrounding us.

Verse 12 says that the Angel of the Lord came and called him a mighty warrior. Amen! I want you to know that it does not matter what you are going through now, the Lord is with you. He loves you and cares for you! He has a great purpose in your life! Do not give up! The Lord is with you! Amen!

I want you also to know that, though you seem to be weak in the eyes of the world, you are strong and mighty in the Lord! Amen! Though you are sick, the Bible says by His stripes we were healed! See yourself healed in Jesus Name!

The problem comes do arise in our life, but you must allow the situation you are in to make you have the mind like that of Gideon. The Angel calls him a mighty warrior, yet he sees himself as the world describe him. God says, "I AM with you", Gideon says "why has all this happened to us if you are with us as you say?"

The Lord sends him to deliver Israel. Gideon said, "How can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest. I am the least in my family. How can this happen? Listen when God calls you! He has all it takes to accomplish to call. When God talks about changing or transforming your life, He has all it takes to do it. The bible says the battle is not ours, but it is the Lords. Just have faith and go in your might.

Let us think and act the Bible way, not the way situations are dictating us to. During these end-times, the Lord is calling on us to 'come out of our situations' and 'begin thinking and acting according to what the Bible says', because He is calling us into greater mission for Him.

Gideon did not know that he was the vessel the Lord wanted to use to deliver Israel. In his weakness, and him being the youngest in his family, the Lord used him to deliver Israel.

The Lord is waiting upon you to use you in a greater way! You are a deliverer! You are a bridge builder! You are the vessel the Lord wants to use to heal, deliver, bless others, preach the gospel to the nations, to serve the poor, to be a divine vessel in His hand for His divine purposes! Amen!

You are the one, not you husband! Not your family! Not your pastor! Not your bishop! You are the one! Get connected and hooked to the 'will of God' about your life! The Lord wants to release His anointing for break-through upon your life! Come and receive the Anointing in Jesus name! AMEN! God bless you as you tap into 'His anointing', to be able to launch deep for His work.

His Brooding Presence

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to you; how often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen does gather her brood under her wings, and you would not.” Luke 13:34

A mother hen instinctively sits upon an egg in order to bring forth a new generation. Likewise, the Holy Spirit broods upon those whom He would birth into a higher spiritual realm and purpose, especially during this present time of transition from the Church Age into the Kingdom Age.

While the world increasingly gives expression to its frustrations, the Lord is quietly preparing those who, in the fullness of His time, will be spiritually lifted into a governmental realm to rule with a “rod of iron” (authority with consequence). These are feeling an increases dissatisfaction with their present spiritual condition, and feel a desire to be birthed into something beyond their present spiritual experience.

“And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up to God, and to His throne.” Revelation 12:5

As the life within an egg is inwardly formed, there is forming within each of us – those who presently are being quickened and moved upon by the Holy Spirit, a capacity and ability to be birthed into this authoritive relationship with the Lord, at the appointed time. This had been offered to Israel by Jesus, but they missed their day of opportunity (being birthed).

“For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But to you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, says the Lord of hosts.” Malachi 4:1-3

As we feel and respond to the processing’s of the Holy Spirit, even though we may not understand all that is taking place, nor that for which we are being prepared, it is important that we not hinder, but actively cooperate with the Holy Spirit, as He broods upon us to complete the time of preparation that is taking place within us. Only then will we be ready to be birthed into an active end-time cooperative relationship with the Lord.

“And he who overcomes, and keeps My works to the end, to him will I give power over the nations. And he shall rule them with a rod of iron...” Revelation 2:26-27

These deep inner dealings of the Holy Spirit will act upon and alter the very fiber of our being, that we might be brought into alignment with the Lord's higher purpose. Only then can we be trusted to rightly use the power that will be placed in our hand.

All creation is beginning to groan for the manifestation of this end-time redemption. They search in vain as they are yet unwilling to come to Jesus. who came that we might have life, and have this life more abundantly (Millennial Kingdom). Therefore, the Holy Spirit continues to brood upon His own, that they might be prepared to be birthed into their place of ministry in the coming day of His power.

The Lord would say to those upon whom He broods during this time of preparation, that He has love and compassion for those who yet reject Him, and also, that He feels the frustration they experience.

Therefore, the Lord is hastening this work of preparation within each of us who are willingly responding to this brooding presence of the Holy Spirit. These are being required by the Lord to unconditionally submit the totality of their being - body, soul, and spirit, to this work of preparation.

We must allow the Lord to remove from us all that is contrary to His working within us. There is a present word that applies to this process that we should very carefully, but determinedly respond to:

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1

The Lord is calling His own, not only to stand faithful in this day, but to become the expression and demonstration of the life (corporate Jesus) that He longs to impart into a lost and hurting world.

For us to be birthed, and begin to function in this higher realm, we must both believe and contend for an “open heaven” under which we can “wait upon the Lord,” to receive His enabling and empowering grace that will birth us into this higher realm of relationship.

As the Lord actively “broods” upon us to birth this end-time ministry, we must constantly express our love for Him, and our willing acceptance of the moving and working of the Holy Spirit within us - for the preparation of our lives to rightly handle the Kingdom authority that He is getting ready to release in this last day.

Once we have done this, we can rest in hope, as He continues to brood upon us, knowing that He will complete the work of preparation within us, so that we, as a man-child (spiritually mature), will be “caught up” in that day.

And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold Lord, the half of my goods, I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him four-fold. And Jesus said unto him; This day is salvation come to thy house, for as much as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek; and to save that which is lost.

As a Christian Leader or Business Person, how have you prepared dinner for Jesus? Perhaps you can follow Zacchaeus example and give; 1/2 of what you have to the poor, perhaps you can give 1/2 to a ministry which is producing much fruit, but does not have a big name and just perhaps is struggling to make ends meet?

You can search your heart first and then find them out!! Help as much as you can. Think about Zacchaeus’s heart, he thought way beyond 10% and the law of tithing! He gave 50% of everything from the start!!

Perhaps you have not conducted your business with integrity? Have you fudged a little? Lied to your clients in some way? Maybe you are just not completely forthright? It is time to do what Zacchaeus has done, prepare dinner at your house for the Savior, He is coming and it is time for you to set the table for Him to come.

He will set a table for you as well soon... Let the Lord of Glory transform you and be willing to do what ever He asks of you... Your treasure is in "Him" we live and move and have our being.

Don't wait another minute!! Get the table ready for dinner!!

It is a great honor and privilege of the Lord to introduce to you one of man God has spoken to me about being a "pillar" for the continent of Africa, Bishop Chetachukwu Adimoha.

This Bishop of South Africa has extended their hearts of love to us as we traveled to their nation. They wrote to us on how God imparted to them through us, but we, our team, received much from them in the Lord and our faith has increased greatly through our brother, his wife Mary, their family and the church.

WHERE ARE THE NINE?

Luke 17:11, Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!"

14 When he saw them, he said, "Go, and show your selves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed.

15One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him--and he was a Samaritan.

17 Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?

18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" This is a year you must be thankful to God, stop complaining thank Him according to the Scriptures “ In all things, give for this is His will concerning you” don’t thank God only when it is well, he is both god of the day and the night.

Our attitude attracts God’s mercy spiritually or otherwise. Sometimes, God refused listen to us because of our heart felts or contents. Have you not read that God knows the heart more than us?

The bible tells us about the ten lepers Jesus healed, only one came back to give thanks, but they were ten “Jesus asked, where are the other nine?”

It became a mark of permanent healing to him because of thankfulness’ many of today do not see the reason why they should come back to give thanks to God, and this is the reason why we limit our selves.

Now the Lord said, go and show yourselves to the priest and do (offer) what Moses commanded you: in that case, which giving was involved, they went all to their own way hoping that after all we are already cured.

God tests us with the little we have or he has giving to us, our character gives the answer of our heart felts.

There had been many who were cured by Jesus, but these are the only ones He told to show himself to the priest, and offer healing offering because he already saw there hearts and this was the reason why they had been in thatsituation in the first place they had ungratefulness in their hearts!

This is a new year you should hug God with appreciation, it is advisable that you -Adopt a new life that will suit the life of Christ in you. Only one among the nine saw the good reason why he should go back and thanks Jesus not only going to offer the healing offering though it was not recorded what he offered to Jesus, but it is believable that he offered something because it wasn’t just a mere thanks, he was convinced.

That very one man that came back was a foreigner; it means others came from the areas of Jesus they were once had fellowship together, but the foreigner was unbeliever that saw God’s power and believed.

Those that are closed to a prophet usually robbed themselves’ blessings.Examine your selves and return like the foreigner, it is good to give thanks when God has done it for you.

Have you got a man around you that God uses in your life? See him as the Lord’s servant to you, and give thanks to God with appreciation over his life?

This is your year of restoration, return like the foreigner and God will show you His mercies.

THE CHALLENGE OF UNITY

Dear Beloved Readers in America and around the world,

This message is part of the challenges I have been having for some time. The unity of the church being a forgotten factor. The church was born from the evil generation into the unity with Christ by the blood. This means the church has to be separated from evil for the Lord and live in love. The real love of the Lord.

Wait a minute! Our God is a God of unity. God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit. And this is one God. In creation look at the language God always used. He said, LET US not LET ME. and yet He is God. This show how our God loves unity.

When God created man and put him in the garden of Eden He said it is not good for man to be alone. Here God to my revelation is working against doing things just as an individual and brings working together. He is bringing unity to mankind. If God say it is not good for man to be alone, it meant if man was to stay alone to some level he could just make it but it was not good. So to God it is not good for us not to be united. I do not know if this revelation will mean something to any body.

In the garden of Eden God always vested man in the cool of the day that is in genesis. And God was united to man and worked and walked with the first Adam until Satan destroyed this unity.

But because of the love of God to us He brought the second Adam who is Jesus Christ who bound us together with Him and our selves to each other as His church. Then we see at the Pentecost the church being born from the evil generation in power and in unity in a very powerful way.

We see the early church of the Apostles praying together,ministering together, breaking bread together etc. in the real fear of the Lord .The church was real separated for the Lord and they real had the love for the Lord and love for each other. The Apostles did ministry in unity.

But I do not know about America but allow me to say something about the church in Kenya. Unity is a forgotten factor in the church in Kenya. People are busy building their own kingdoms. There is a lot of competition in the work of God. People are busy competing, who has the best ministry, who has the best car, who has the best church. Sorry for me to say this but it has troubled me a lot.

The family of the Lord is divided. If Jesus came today you wonder which church He is going to pick to heaven. People are misusing the grace of the lord to do evil in the church. The Alter is defiled. People are using the church to earn money not money to do the work of the Lord. People have loved the world than God. The church is not together. The language is I not we. May the Lord forgive me for this. We have sinned against God as a church. This is the church in Kenya. May the Lord help us.

My brother I am for this challenge. May the Lord help us to bring His people together as a family and be able to minister to the both in the spiritual matter and in the physical and material things. God bless you.

"A time of harvest" - from Hampton Roads, Virginia

Again, it is an awesome time to introduce to you a man we have grown to love from Hampton Roads Virginia, Brother Ray Boetcher. Brother Ray helped sponsor our "first annual Flame of Fire National Conference" in Virginia Beach, Virginia and was one of our main speakers. Dear Flames of Fire Ministries,

I say "Flames" because as Pastor Henry points out we are all part of this ministry. We are all part of the Lord's Fire, so let's heat things up in 2009. I wanted to add confirmation to much of what is being prophesied on this blog for 2009.

Each month when I publish The Church Guide (a monthly Christian newspaper) it includes a commentary from the publisher (me) providing a message that our God wants me to share with my readers. Here is my commentary that I published for January:

The Lord has shown me that 2009 is going to be a time of harvest for ALL of His children. Like Barbara Lisiewski pointed out in an earlier blog ... 2009 is going to be a time of "breakthrough" a time of strength in the Lord.

These past few years we toiled to make the ground fertile. We have labored to break the boulders and stones that hinder our plowing. We have removed the roots which reach deep into generations of sin. We have been broken so that now our foundation is solid. In trying to live more and more like Jesus, we have made our lives fertile ground. This past year was a time to build, a time to plant. Expect to move now from a season of sowing into a season of abundant harvest.

2009 is golden, it's going to be rich in the beauty of our Lord as His love for you will be overflowing. It’s harvest time.

The year will begin like a soft breeze, as the Lord begins to caress you with His love. And as the days and weeks go by, His winds bring more and more favor and fruits of the Spirit -- more love, joy, peace, gentleness, faith.

Come spring, the fruits of your harvest will begin to manifest all about you, flowing into all aspects of your life. But be forewarned, it is on the eve of the harvest when you need to be totally rooted in the Lord and assuredly under His covering. Keep your sight on Jesus, keep in His Word, keep Him in your midst.

Because it is at harvest time, that the evil one will come to rob, kill and destroy your joy. He will try to steal your harvest and plunder the first of your fruits. He will bring forth a legion of hellish attacks against you in an attempt to pillage your territory (your life), and try to strip you of all that God has in store for you.

Yes, the enemy will try to remove you from your ground. But it is your ground and you have authority and dominion over it. The fruits are your fruits. This is your harvest time. Do not let the lies and assaults overcome you.

Stand firm in the Lord. Keep your sights on Him. Prepare for the battle, arm yourself in the Word. Our Lord will protect you when the enemy makes any attempt to take away your harvest.

Note the scripture below from 2 Samuel 23: 9-13 (Amp): 9 Next to him among the three mighty men was Eleazar son of Dodo, son of Ahohi. He was with David when they defied the Philistines assembled there for battle, and the men of Israel had departed.

10 [Eleazar] arose and struck down the Philistines until his hand was weary and clung to the sword. The Lord wrought a great deliverance and victory that day; the men returned after him only to take the spoil. 11 Next to [Eleazar] was Shammah son of Agee the Hararite. The Philistines were gathered at Lehi on a piece of ground full of lentils; and the [Israelites] fled from the Philistines.

12 But he stood in the midst of the ground and defended it and slew the Philistines; and the Lord wrought a great victory.13And three of the thirty chief men went down at harvest time to David in the cave of Adullam, and a troop of Philistines was encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.

As is shown in verse 11 and 13, it was harvest time. The grounds were full of lentils. The Philistines attempted to plunder the Israelites harvest. Most of the Israelites including the army ran away from their harvest. They were in fear. But Eleazar stood up to the threat. This was his land, his fruits, his harvest. And with the help of the Lord he stood his ground and defeated an army of Philistines.

My brothers and sisters, 2009 is harvest time. Don’t live by sight of this world, see the vision of what God has in store for you. Breakthrough is coming! Expect the evil one to assault you just as you are about to receive your harvest. He's going to try to keep you in your shell. He's going to try to take your vision off of the Lord and your harvest. Its all a lie.

You already have your victory. Stand your ground, keep your eye on Jesus and the harvest He has promised you. How sweet the taste of all that awaits you throughout this new year, this season of harvest.

"The Deep Cries out" - from Greeley, Colorado

Dear Beloved Readers,

It is again a pleasure to share another part of the "voice" crying in the wilderness, "prepare ye the way of the Lord." This young lady is a wife, mother and a true worshipper. She has ministered in our conferences and in our prayer center with her husband Brad on the piano to bring many in the deep presence of the Lord. To God be all the Glory. Her and her husband are part of the "fore-runner" generation God is rising up in this hour with the Spirit of Elijah as Malachi prophesied.

Her generation, the x generation has so much of the enemy go against them. In our nation, this is the generation that goes to church, bring their kids to Sunday school and does some ministry, but keeps the rest of their lives for themselves. They are content as Emily would put it to eat "cardboard cake." But in her generation, God is rising up a prophetic voice through her, her husband and others, "we don't want to eat cardboard cake." Cardboard cake means to their generation, the fake, phony, and what the hands of man can make.

They are the generation that is called to raise up the youth to possess the land, but many of them are caught up in the "American Dream Church." Everything is OK, God just wants you to be happy. Their is no sin, and no problems and you never have to suffer, God loves you.

It is not easy to break out of that "American Dream Christianity." Christian TV is full with this type off preaching with no conviction of sin anymore and a cross- less Gospel. But I thank God, that God has a remnant in them He is bringing to the front to begin to declare to their peers, prepare ye the way of the Lord, Repent. They are getting very much persecuted in this nation for going against the flow of the "bless me" all "about me" Gospel, but they are willing to pay the price.

Please read this precious sisters word of the Lord. I consider her a daughter and her husband as a son in the Lord to me and Donna and their beautiful prophetic son a spiritual Grand son. You will be blessed to hear the prophetic voice of this generation mixes all together with every generation.

Psalm 42:7
Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.

As I meditated on this verse, having heard it many times before, I asked the Lord, "what does this mean?" "Whats the difference between a wave and a breaker?"

Suddenly the Lord answered me in a picture story. First he showed me that the difference in a breaker versus just a wave, was that the breakers are the waves that peak and curl over, and sometimes a "tube" is visible as it is rolling over and rushing toward the shore.

Having lived in Hawaii for six and a half years, I have very fond memories of afternoons spent watching the awesome surf on the north shore of Oahu. On days when the surf is 15 ft plus, as the waves break over the reefs, you can feel the vibrations rumble you to the core as you watch from the safety of higher ground. It is of course a surfers paradise. The whole coast littered with amazing surfing spots, known to all the big time surfers around the world. In the winter months especially, it is awesome surfing conditions for the big wave surfers. Well known big wave riders from all around the world wait for a call, sometimes less than 24hrs notice, about a location having optimum conditions for catching a monster wave. Big wave surfers are indeed surfers, but not all surfers are big wave riders. Big wave riders are a class all their own. Brave? Yes. Daring? Yes. Crazy? Probably. High risk, high reward. Big wave riders have left mere recreational surfing in search of something more. The deep, we might say. They probably still enjoy playing around on the 7 footers, don't get me wrong, but they longed for more, the deep cried out to the deep within them, and called them to a place of higher risk, higher reward.

Being called to the "deep" for these surfers required training beyond what a recreational surfer might endure. It is absolutely necessary for their safety if they are going to attempt to ride a 30 foot wave. The waves they are after are absolutely "breakers" in every sense of the word. Imagine a thirty foot (or taller) wall of water staring you down, making you feel like an ant. When these waves tip over the amount of force coming down is enough to plunge you down deep into the water, and roll you over and over, onto reefs and rocks that chew you up and spit you out. You have to condition yourself to be able to endure these harsh conditions if you are going to be out in water like this.

In Hawaii, they train by diving down to the bottom of the ocean in ten feet or so water, and run across the seafloor as long as they can carrying a huge rock. In addition they build endurance by swimming in the ocean waves, for lengths of time, and swimming underwater as far as you can, to simulate wipe out conditions. They have to train their bodies, and endure the pressing and crushing that comes with this territory. The learned ones know how to paddle out into the water and evaluate the surf. To take note where the good spots are, where to paddle in to a wave set, and where to back off and get out before they get crushed. They look out for each other, and sometimes risk their own life to help out a buddy.

Beginning sometime after we left Hawaii, I was having these recurring dreams about me surfing these big waves, and how crazy it seemed that I didn't wipe out, and how exciting it was to look down the face of the wave I was riding. I didn't really know why I was having these dreams, because I never once surfed while I lived there, only elementary boogie boarding, and never in waves that were more than 4-6 feet! I really thought I was having these dreams because I missed Hawaii. But now I think the Lord was calling to the deep in me, to be drawn to the deep of Him. He was going to teach me to be a "big wave surfer" so to speak, and equip me to endure the place of high risk, (or high cost), high reward. He led me to a "brotherhood" of ones that were more learned than I to train with, who would watch out for my soul as well. Just like real life big wave surfers do.

Do you hear the Lord calling and drawing you to the deep of Him? You should respond. But know that it will mean endurance training, a crushing and a pressing like you haven't experienced before, and submitting to authorities who are more learned who have been charged by the Lord to look after your soul. It is high cost to leave "recreational" Christianity, but what you will receive is high reward, from the Lord himself.

End Time Glory - The Island of Mauritius

Dear Beloved Readers,

As I promised you in 2009. It is time to blow the trumpet in Zion. This year you will hear prophetic voices from all around the world to us the Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the real intention of this blog from the beginning. We are called to become a "voice" crying in the wilderness, "Prepare ye the way of the Lord."

The men and woman of God that will be on this blog I know not by the flesh, but the Holy Spirit in them. They are part of this Flame of Fire family. I wish we didn't even have to have a name, because a name of ministry always points to "your ministry." That is not what Flame of Fire is at all. It is about the "we" and not the "me." It is about us becoming a real family and end-time army of the Lord.

Today, I am introducing to you one of the first Pastors who ever wrote to me after reading our website. His name is Pastor Devin Rajiah of Bambous Assembly of God on the Island of Mauritius. He is not just a Pastor, but called to be an Apostle of the Lord and a prophetic voice to his nation of Mauritius and to the world. He is a very deep man of God in whom I have much respect and I know you will after reading Him. END TIME GLORY!

Dear Beloved Readers of Flame of Fire Ministries, End Time Glory and End Time Harvest God has His wonderful plan for His end time’s church in these last days. We are on the verge of the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit that the world has ever known. God is pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh.. And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Acts 2:17-18 His Salvation, healing, and deliverance power will be demonstrated on this earth. Many will see the glory of the Lord manifest in a greater way. He will build His church. For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14 God is sending his revival fire to this earth. It will spread all over to the nations of this world like a wildfire.

The body of Christ will be set on fire by the Holy Spirit and will bring multitudes to the Lord. God will restore His presence and glory. The church will be ablaze and testify of the love of God, and many people will come to know Jesus before His glorious return! The former and the latter rains are coming together to sweep the earth! Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

Joel 2:23 We believe that God is raising up a Church in these days that will move in the power of the Holy Spirit, responding to the Voice of the Father, and do the works of Jesus on the earth. We believe that God desires for the lost to be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit and walking in the love in their lives and the gifts of the Spirit flowing through their lives. We believe not only will revival come but also awakening will come to such a degree that God will gather a large harvest of souls for Himself. Be on fire for Jesus and a soul winner for Him. Wake Up! Church.

It is time for you to wake up and realize that we have entered into the time of the end. Jesus is coming soon. Be ready to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom. Before we behold the glorious return of Jesus, we will see global revival and we will reap in the greatest harvest. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. John 4:35-38. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Romans 13:11

"Breakthrough 2009" - from Suffolk, Virginia

Dear Beloved Readers,

In 2009 you are going to be hearing from many prophetic voices that are crying in the wilderness here in America, "prepare ye the way of the Lord." I want you to hear the cry of God's heart as He reveals Himself through His prophetic body of believers. That voice says, Today, if you hear His voice, harden not your heart as they did in the day when they rebelled against me in the wilderness." I will list these prophetic words under the title, The Trumpet of the Lord.

I will include the theme of the word with the title as you see above. God is speaking loudly through the church that is taking the time to be with Him and listen for his voice. It will be with great honor from the Lord that you are going to meet the Pastors, Evangelist and ministers throughout the church and the "market place," that are preparing a way for the Lord" in peoples hearts. Many of these voices may not be "ordained ministers" as we would know them, because they are the Stevens and Phillips to this generation.

They have a mighty voice of the Lord in them that will prepare us to be a Bride made ready for the Lord. Today, one of those such voices you will read is Barbara Lisiewski, Chairman and CEO of Best Jets Corporation of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Barbara was instrumental with helping us have our first national conference there in July of 2008. She is helping us have our 2nd annual conference in 2009, but it will be an international gathering of the nations, Praise God! She has a word God gave here for 2009 that we must hear. Let it penetrate your heart with the Power of the Holy Spirit. READ IT BELOW!

Dear Beloved Readers of Flame of Fire Ministries,

"The real understanding of breakthrough for 2009." As the end of December was coming to a close this past year of 2008, I begin to ask the Lord to allow me to draw closer to him in every area of my life, in fact just before celebrating the Christmas Holidays with my husband in the car, I asked the Lord with my husband in agreement, for both of us to draw nearer to the Lord to have ; The Lords Eyes, Ears, Hands and Heart, this year like never before, to draw closer and closer day by day.

I began to pray and earnestly seek to hear what to say and do, each day in prayer in worship and pressing in asking the Lord what would He have me to do? I heard the Lord say one word to me “Breakthrough” Breakthrough I thought, I have heard that so many times before why would I hear that word? In fact my conversation with the Lord was breakthrough?? I must not be hearing correctly because this word has been used so many times before! Not like this you haven’t the Lord said in that still small voice!!

Then the Lord brought to my remembrance a trip I took this summer with my grandson Ty and his class to the State Fair. We visited all the usual State Fair exhibits and reenactments. Right after lunch Ty’s teacher told us to go to a large building which housed a number of animals. Ponies, Pigs, Horses, Sheep and Cows were scattered inside, however Ty was fascinated as were many of us with an incubator in the middle of the building which had eggs in it. Those eggs were under, a strong, warm light and environment which enabled chicks to be hatched from the egg. As Ty and I watched two little chicks being hatched, I began to see what the Lord was trying to tell me about “His Word of Breakthrough”.

Those chicks were struggling with all of their might to get out of the shell. They were compelled to break out of the eggshell, they used their beaks, they used their feet, they used their wing strength and finally they were free of the shell!! Once out the chicks began to flap their wings, stretch their wings, walk around and around and how much larger they appeared to be from having been in the shell! What fascinated me about the transition was how much stronger the chicks became with each step and flap!!

The Lord said to me: “THIS IS WHAT MY BREAKTHROUGH IS LIKE’ I AM COMING TO MY BRIDE AND IT WILL BE A BREAKTHROUGH FOR I AM THEIR SOURCE OF STRENGTH, WARMTH AND LIGHT. IT IS I WHOM AM CALLING." "IT IS MY BREAKTHROUGH THAT WILL CAUSE YOU TO BREAK OUT OF THE BONDAGES OF YOUR FLESH, MY SPIRIT IS UPON YOU AND AS I CALL YOU TO COME OUT." "YOU WILL BE LIKE THE CHICKS PUSHING, PECKING AND PRESSING THROUGH TO YOUR FREEDOM IN ME. THIS BREAKTHROUGH IS TRUE AND EVERLASTING AND IT IS VICTORIOUS!"

I asked the Lord to confirm this to me through the word and so He was so gracious to do so: Thessalonians 5: 23-24. May the God of Peace Himself, Sanctify you through and through (separate you from profane things) make you pure and wholly consecrated to God, may your spirit, soul and body be preserved sound and complete (and found blameless) at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah). Faithful is He who is calling you (to Himself) and utterly trustworthy and He will also do it (fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you!

When Glory Filled the Temple

The dedication of Solomon's temple offers us a picture of what God is seeking in the Church. The temple was built, and in great pageantry and celebration, it was consecrated to the Lord. Solomon offered a sacrifice of 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. Then, immediately after the king prayed, for the first time in over 400 years, the glory of God was manifested in full view of the people. We read, "Fire came down from Heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house" (2 Chronicles 7:1).

If the Lord would honor the dedication of the physical temple with a visible manifestation of His glory, how much more does He seek to reveal His glorious presence in His living temple, the Church?

But there were prerequisites that occurred prior to this appearance of the Lord. First, it was not until Solomon's temple was actually built, with all its separate aspects connected together and covered in gold, that the glory of the Lord appeared.

Likewise, we also must be built together and "perfected in unity" if we would see the fullness of the Lord displayed among us and the world believe in Christ (John 17:23). There is no other aspect of life more glorious or wonderful than this.

The next requirement deals with our worship. The Lord was not revealed until the singers, trumpeters and priests lifted their voices in praise and worship to God. We cannot overstate the need to be worshipers of God. Even now, in a number of church worship services, a faint, luminous glory is appearing, like a living cloud, drawn by the purity of the ascending worship.

However, there was another dimension of preparation which also preceded the revelation of glory. This prerequisite had to do with those in leadership.

"And when the priests came forth from the holy place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without regard to divisions)...then the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God" (2 Chronicles 5:11-14).

Their divisions in the priesthood had been ordained by God according to individual families and unique purposes. These were not carnal divisions, born of jealousy or strife, but divisions of purpose, function and timing. Yet, when the priests entered the holy place, God required they "sanctified themselves without regard to divisions" (verse 11). In other words, when it came to building the temple and entering the holy place, the priests had to lower the priority of individual service, which in a sense divided them, and raise the priority of seeking God's glory, which united them. It was here, when they were "without...divisions" that the glory of God manifested.

So also today, God has appointed churches in each city with different functions, graces and talents, all of which are needed to meet the needs of a diverse surrounding culture. These differences, however, are not meant to divide us, but to complete us. But if we desire to see the glory of God return to the Church, the divisions of purpose must be subordinate to the unity of Spirit.

Today, in meetings, conferences and prayer groups, in one-on-one visits over coffee, and in church altars and citywide outreaches, increasing numbers of Christians are returning to Christ "without regard to divisions." Indeed, over the last years, tens of thousands of God-hungry pastors are surrendering to God in fresh acts of holy consecration; they are seeking the glory of God. The outcome? The Church is being "fitted together...growing into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom (we) also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit" (Ephesians 2:21-22).

Notice these words: "fitted together...built together." The true house of the Lord is revealed when the Church, "without regard to divisions" is "fitted together." Only then can the Church truly be unveiled as the temple of the Lord, "a dwelling of God in the Spirit."

The Source Of Glory

"And the glory which Thou hast given Me I have given to them; that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be perfected into a unit..." (John 17:22-23).

Jesus is not coming to give us a new form of church government or new doctrines and programs. He is coming to be glorified in His saints and marveled at by all who have believed! (2 Thessalonians 1:10). It was for this that He called us; that we may gain His glory! (2 Thessalonians 2:14).

Let us each see that God is building something in this hour that will far exceed our current definition of the Church. God is building us together into "a holy temple in the Lord," a place where His very glory shall be revealed!

Consider the words of the following prayer. It is our response to the Lord's call to build His house. God is calling us, not to lose our individual distinctions and callings, but to build something that fits us together, enabling us to build without regard to divisions.

If you see the vision of the house of the Lord, please pray with us: Lord Jesus, I thank You for granting me a new opportunity to serve You. I repent of the areas in my heart where I allowed division and self-interest to guide my actions. Jesus, I want to see Your glory, even to abide as did Moses, in Your sacred presence. Master, I consecrate my heart without regard to divisions, to Your sacred service. Before You I sanctify my life and my church to build the house of the Lord in my city.
